However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I passed the stone in the ER and all was well. CT scan confirmed it, however the scan also found an enlarged liver. My doctor followed up by sending me in for an ultrasound. It was determined that I have a fatty liver. I immediately overreacted and have been consumed by major anxiety. I have mostly quit eating and lost 22 pounds in the past 5 weeks. I'm currently taking an antidepressant and a benzo but nothing seems to help. I feel a small pain under my right rib and go to pieces. How did I let it get this far? The same thing has happened to me recently for other minor health issues. When will this end?

Health scares do that to your thinking.
yea, it ends, but i'm not quite ready for the ending today. maybe tomorrow? for today, i think i'll just agonize over those stones and groans while i huff to the store and puff my way back. i try to keep a sense of humor about ^it^.
coming here and venting about my worries of the day helps considerable. i hope it helps you, too. welcome aboard.
listening. . .
you are not alone.
I have been getting more health problems as I get older. You are not alone. You did nothing wrong. Some things just happen for no real reason.
Starving yourself is not the answer, however. I suggest following up with your doctor, talk to him/her about what kinds of foods should you eat and what should you avoid. I am fairly certain fatty liver is common and that you can continue to live and eat a normal life. But please don't make your health worse by not eating anything. Like I tell myself in times like this.... "you don't want MORE problems!"
By the way, not sure if this helps, but my brother had constant kidney stones, was going to the ER all the time for them, tried to change his diet..... but it was when he stopped drinking all soda, he never got another kidney stone again.
Keep writing it out. We are here for you, you're not alone. Call and make an appointment with your doctor. Time to turn your health around! You can do it!
