My doc refused to let me try it and put me on Wellbutrin... well, she prescribed it. It is still in my cabinet 10 days later. : ) My friend loves her prozac. She takes that and Klonopin for her 'cocktail' and seems to be doing well.

class of antidepressants. it affects mostly dopamine which has to do with focus and motivation. Some people feel that it makes them anxious but it doesn't have that effect on me. Best news is it has no sexual side effects.
I've been fairly anti-"anti-depressants" since my incident with Prozac, but I did have pretty good luck with Celexa. It was the only medication that didn't give me any side effects, but I took it for 2 years and I can't say it ever actually worked for my anxiety. I just do cognitive behavioral therapy now and it works.
After a lot of trial and error I've found the most effective treatment for me is a high dosage of Vitamin D for depression and a low dose of Propranalol for anxiety.
My MD tends to look to medications and surgery for solutions so I speak with my doctor for the Propranalol and for anxiety I work with my alternative healers. My MD was unfamiliar with therapeutic levels of vitamin D.
