Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
i feel like it is completely ridiculous, but I think I have severe separation anxiety from my husband. I have anxiety and depression and he is very supportive and helpful. A few years ago we moved from my hometown and my family 4 hours away and while I have some friends here, he is my best friend and my rock. But he has a job that requires him to travel sometimes including flying (which I've only done once and I'm terrified of).
I've been very anxious and depressed lately since losing my job and trying to get a new one. Then today my husband flew out of state for the day and I completely lost it. I tell myself the days before that it'll be fine but then as soon as he boards and is in the air I have a severe anxiety attack. Tried to watch tv, listen to music, prepare for an interview, nothing helped. It got so bad that I was in the shower trying not to puke or faint. I took .5mg Xanax and felt no better. It's like if he is far away or out of contact I lose all control. When my panic attacks get that bad I feel like they will never end and i have suicidal thoughts. I know I will never act on them but I get down in that hole and feel like I'll never get out. I had basically a full blown anxiety attack for the entire day that he was gone. I had to stay on the phone with everyone I know to stay calm and distracted.
Does anyone else experience this kind of separation anxiety? I know it's ridiculous and I should feel very blessed that I have someone I care about this much but I know it's not right to depend so completely on someone.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...
