Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
My daughter and two oldest grandsons came to visit during their winter break and just left last Thursday. They flew in fron NH the previous Saturday. We live in TX (moved her almost 5 years ago to help my elserly in-laws).
We had a wonderful visit full of making memories and lots of hugs. I cried most of the day Thursday after dropping them off at the airport. I have cried off and on since then. I just have this profound sadness about living 2000 miles apart. I know the pandemic has a lot to do with it because it has curtailed regular visits. I just don't know how to get on top of this sadness. It hurts so much!

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
It's natural to feel the loss of those young loved ones, knowing you're where you are to take care of your elderly parents.
It's a real balance-and acknowledging your sadness will help tremendously.
I feel like I was doing okay with everything until I got COVID in August. My husband had it worse than me. I have had lots of anxiety and less energy since then. Lack of good sleep also wears me down. I am sure that leads to my being more emotional.
I just wish we could all live in the same state. I never wanted to move to TX but was trying to support my husband.
Writing it out will help you release the angst associated with covid. It takes a long time to reset the natural balance that covid knocked to the ground and flew up sky high.
You got this!
yea, new hampshire to texas is quite the climate change. some might call it culture shock, too. i've lived in foreign countries, so i'm not one of those folks, but there's no doubting the two regions are different.
And for sure, any day I have bad sleep I am worse.
You certainly have a lot of support here. Lots of good advice given from others.
I may not have good advice, but you are not alone!
My best to you as you work your way through.
I really do appreciate all of you! Thank you!
