Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Uncertainty. Frustration. Confusion. Sadness. Disappointment. I'm a senior in college, and my boyfriend recently broke up with me, out of the blue, and gave me a reason he couldn't even explain himself (every follow-up question I asked to try to understand, he responded with "I don't know".) We have been together since sophomore year, with a break in between, so we could both focus on ourselves (him reapplying to nursing school and me trying to get my anxiety under control.) We both agreed we were ready to get back together and give things another try, and he told me he was so confident in our ability to work through any problems we may run into. He bought us really expensive tickets to see a musical and made reservations at a really expensive restaurant along the lake. That was coming up in a week and a half. He's had the tickets for about a month, but the broke up with me over the weekend. I am so confused, and I don't understand what happened and how he went from saying all the super sweet things that he did to me to suddenly not wanting to be together. He said it is nothing I did, but of course with my anxiety I can't help but think it is something I did or said or it's something about who I am. I am a pre-med student and am applying to med schools right now and about a week ago he said whereever I end up going he would follow me and work while I am in school. Next week is also the last week of my undergraduate career, so I am overwhelmed with term papers and exams, which I now cannot focus on because I am so distracted and preoccupied trying to process everything. I just don't understand how everything changed so suddenly or even what changed, because he couldn't explain it. I worry I did something, and he doesn't want to tell me or it's something about who I am and I will never find anyone who will love me for whatever it is about me. I also can't help but think that I will not do well on my papers and exams because I can't focus and that if I don't do well enough that I won't get into med school and then if I don't get in, what will I do with my life and how will I support myself?
I know this has been a lot, but I just needed to get it out because my mind has so many thoughts bouncing around inside of it, hence why this is probably all over the place.

If none of these things work for you then I really think the best thing you can do is try as hard as you can to study. Keep your face buried in a book or notes. It'll help you move on from the break up.
Let me know if this helps. I'm here for you.
