Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
This past weekend was really big for me. I worked at an event promoting for my families business for the first time since covid started. My social anxiety has been horrible recently but I have been hard at work with acceptance and this weekend was the ultimate test. Other than a few moments, I felt amazing all weekend. My driving anxiety is fading, my social anxiety is fading, the wild thoughts are dissipating, and the crazy feelings are melting away. Through all the ups and downs, I have tried to stay true to the acceptance method; Alowing everything as best as I can. And I'm so happy to say to you all that, at least for me, it's working. I'm getting my life back. I'm feeling emotions again, I'm feeling confident again, and best of all, im feeling at peace again. I know that I am not fully recovered yet, but I can now see that full recovery for me is not only possible, but completely reachable. It has taken me 8 months of hard work and determination to get to this point. I am becoming a student of my anxiety. And I still have a lifetime of learning to go, but I know that I will get there. For all of you out there who are struggling with agoraphobic anxiety and panic, I hope you never give up on your quest to recovery. I'm going to sum this story up as if it were a video game. The goal at the end is to beat the game yes, and if you want you can fly through the story and get there. But unless you go back and complete every single side mission, you haven't actually beaten the game. Side missions take time and they can be frustrating and sometimes feel downright impossible. And there's nothing worse than coming to a point in the game, and it tells you that you need a key to open door, but you haven't found that key yet. When that happens, people often give up and move onto a different game. But with anxiety recovery, you have to go back and find that key. I don't know if any of that made sense but that's how I have been approaching my recovery. I hope this mess of words can help some of you in your own recovery. For most people, there is no easy way out. The road is long and bumpy, but eventually with hard work and determination, full recovery is possible.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Life's not about being perfect. It's about working it out.
