Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I'm 24 from Scotland I'm a staff nurse in a critical care... so I see the worst.
first I'm a very anxious person have suffered from panic attacks in the past
It all started several months ago when I found a lump on my breast i was convinced I had breast cancer. No matter what my GP told me I was sure. Anyway I basically planned my funeral it was the worst weeks of my life crying panic crying panic. It was awful I was losing grip on reality to the point I thought I couldn't carry on. I was referred to the breast clinic in the end and I was right there was a lump however they done an ultra sound and there was a small chat and fibrocystic changes.. no cancer
just after new year I developed numbness in my right hand so bad that I had to go off my work as I couldn't hold a pen nor turn pumps on off care for patients properly. This has turned into the worst anxiety known to man kind the general day to day anxiety is awful I thought it was never going to come back to life. Then the twitching started all over mostly in my legs though so that's it I'm convinced it's MND I've got a slightly thinner hand on my right asked consultant at work he said it's normal.. yesterday had a numb tongue feeling (???is that anxiety related) almost like a stiff feeling. I know how one tiny wee twitch on my tongue like a heart beat on the left hand side. right now I'm struggling to get a breath with how I'm feeling this is awful. I don't want to have MND and I don't want to die. Has anyone had tongue twitching aching muscles after several days of anxiety and panic. This is day 8 haven't ate a proper meal since then haven't slept properly. Heart is racing.
Seen GP but classic NHS give it two weeks.
I'm getting married in 12 weeks and I honestly can't get married thinking I have MND.
I would like to add before the MND anxiety I spend about 30 and hour of every hour thinking about how we are all going to be dead one day thoughts like what's the point in buying a house what's the point getting dressed we're all gonna end up dead.
Its ruining my life it's ruining my career. It's ruining my relationship.
Loads of love advance xxx

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Also, you seem to be WAY too focused on yourself to the very tiniest detail. Every imperfection does not necessarily mean trouble's around the corner. None of us are perfect - we all have imperfections, the difference is that when you learn to relax and just accept yourself AS YOU ARE the anxiety becomes much less, and you learn to enjoy life more.
I'm far from perfect. I have had epilepsy since I was a little girl. I have multiple seizures daily - my lifestyle is very limited. I have also been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, in addition to that I do suffer from anxiety on occasion. Am I fretting over it ? No. Why not ? Because I have learned a secret that I wish to share with you. I am not in control of my life. Neither is anyone else in control of their own lives.
It's difficult to give you a place to start, other than to say, you've made the most important choice to write it out. Continue writing it out, separating the different thought patterns to find the one you can use to practice a positive image with to change it.
Best wishes.
