Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I have been battling anxiety the last 7 months and I am trying to learn as much as I can. I am on zoloft and have gotten a lot better. I will have a good run of days where I feel normal but then relapse. At times I will be ok mentally but have physical symptoms( small knot in throat, Tighness in chest, a little short of breath, stiff neck) Not all at the same time. Then there are times when my brain jumps to accepting and I am(feel relaxed) ok to anxious thoughts but no physical symptoms. Then at times I just feel nervous.
Any one else feel this with there anxiety? I kind of wonder it is my add. I try to remind myself that my symptoms have gotten better. This is the longest stint I have had. I went 13 years thinking I had beaten anxiety med free.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I've been managing my own anxiety med free for about 20 years now. Sometimes it is easier than others. It can be hard not to be discouraged with the setbacks, but? ? ? I had setbacks while I was medicated, too. I think the setbacks are just part of the human experience.
arfie- That is kind of how I was managing without meds but I think depression creeped in this time and scared me more.
