In January of 23 I was in a car accident. I was at an intersection waiting to make a left hand turn. There was no traffic light or stop signs so I was waiting for a clear road when i was rear ended. I wasn't hurt but my car ended up being totaled out. Ever since then I have been afraid to make left turns. There is a lot of construction in my area so I couldn't take the short cuts to get me where i was going. So, I ended up at an intersection where I had to make a left turn. I haven't taken that way in over a year but i did it yesterday and also where I had my accident I made a left turn there too. I feel so proud of myself

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
mindfulness is my tool for handling that bit of anxiety. given the experience, i hold it as an understandable reflex which can escalate to destructive extremes. part of my mindfulness is to take the time to celebrate little things, like surviving the left turn of the incident.
yay you! ! ! ya done good! ! ! i call that, "progress!"
