OT - Masked Cleavage

As I have worked to overcome the PTSD flashbacks to medical trauma when confronted by a maskite, I have found it quite difficult to tell how **attractive** any face is with 3/4 of that face covered by generic materials. I have wondered a time or 20 if that is a good thing to help level the proverbial playing field, but? ? ?


Am I only imagining that the mask merchants have begun integrating the classic cleavage shots into their advertising graphics?


Just wondering. . .


This New Normal has me continually befuddled. Works still in progress. . .

It's strange to see how advertising has changed to include the New Normal mask accessory.

I've been able to tell if someone is voicing their words strongly inside a mask just from the way the mask is moving. I just raised my eyebrows at them and stepped back.

I still reflexively avert my eyes when I see a surgical mask and can't look at them closely enough to see such subtleties. There are a few social workers and clerks who know me well enough to be compassionate to my reaction and I can almost hear the gentle smiles in their voice tones but eye contact remains a works in progress. Is it funny how I can still hear the tones, even when I can't make out the words? When somebody tells me life is not a musical, I offer them ear wash. Have you been listening?

As a businesswoman, advertising is a whole different schtick. . . It is a well verified fact that cleavage sells. Some even call it the world's oldest advertisement. Somehow I find that fact quite sad, but the world is as the world is, not as I would have it.

And, yes, being able to hear the tones and the musical quality is actually quite awesome when you do this, is a strength!

You are so right about cleavage selling in advertisement.

    I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying.  I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there.  I think that I will start writing in it again.  It's so therapeutic.

    Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job.  It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it.  Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown.  There was a full length mirror in the changing room.  I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like.  It was a reality check.
