Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I always feel horrible after I open up to people like I've committed some sort of terrible crime. Recently I was stressed because I started a blog about autism awareness because I'm autistic and it's become an important matter and goal of mine so I shared it with my mom and in all honesty she was neutral about the matter not necessarily happy or unhappy. Just mostly was thinking about my ability to edit my posts and my saftey online. But now I feel like I've done something wrong by opening up like I've really screwed up and like something terrible is going to happen now. I've even started to make a list of things I should avoid opening up about in the future. My therapist also agrees that I definitely have a fear of vulnerability.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.
I have something similar so I just end up keeping things to myself.
Almost punched the last person who said it will be okay
If that's all you can say, don't say anything.
Learning how to use silence as a super power to protect your well-being in a positive way is important.
You have abilities not yet identified.
The fear you mention is common when unexpected consequences present unidentified choices without any connection to previous experience.
Being able to remain calm and keeping your hands and thoughts private until you are able to speak calmly about facts is an important method for finding positive resolution to difficult challenges and situations.
The more you work to identify the abilities you have (and, yes, you have abilities) and work to use those to help you manage new experiences more comfortably, the better you will balance everything in a positive way.
Good for you to reach out and in a safe place.
about your vulnerability. Getting over feeling vulnerable can
be challenging.
But you're strong enough to come here and talk about it...that's a victory wouldn't you say?
I have a hard time feeling secure about showing my art work.
Some people say it's good. I think it's kind of good - but it's extremely vulnerable to put it out there.
You are doing a great job and are very strong for what you have done already!
Don't sell yourself short if you don't get all the reactions you desire straight away. Of course writing about autism is more
meaingful to you. Your mom may just have not been able to
react the way you wanted her to react. And learning to be your own cheering squad and advocate will really help you
in life ( as you develop your sea legs for writing about your condition.)
Also being cautious is a good thing on the internet. This place here is safe..The internet outside of this site can be really danger filled. It's a danger all celebrities face when putting themselves out there - so you're in very good company!
Peace and best
