Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Yesterday, at a yard sale, I saw some canisters that would look nice in my kitchen but I dismissed the thought as I didn't think I had room for them. Now I regret not checking them out and possibly buying them. Then I thought that I might have an old set here. So I went on a hunt in the shed and in my tan room. OMG, I have about 40 years of old junk to go through and toss out. In my tan room, I found a set of forks that I didn't realize that I hadn't opened when I got my new flatware set some years ago. I didn't find the canisters that I thought I had but I'm not done looking. Another regret that I have from yesterday's yard sales was a pair of beautiful black dress shoes. They had a small heel but I dismissed them. I am so sorry that I did that. Anyway, back to the canisters, now I want to find them or buy some. I am going to be spending some time throwing old stuff out on Monday and Tuesday because my trash day is Wednesday. I can possibly make room in my tan room to get to the closet and hang up all of these clothes that have been laying around with no place to put them. On September 1st, I will be in my house for 20 years. Unfortunately, in 2009, I refinanced. So I have more than 10 years left on my mortgage. So most of the stuff, or all of it, has been sitting out there for almost 20 years. I would work on it now but I am going to the beach with my brother. Out with the old and in with the new!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
The regret may be what they call FOMO fear of missing out. But you have a full house of stuff already and don't need more. You want more. It makes us feel happy temporarily. I know how this is. I feel that want myself at times. I decided to purchase nothing in July except food, etc. I have plenty of clothes. Some I don't even wear and that bothers me a lot.
Things not being used are not doing any good in this world is how I now think about it. So all my stuff that sits not being used in a year is stuff I feel guilty about because it is not doing any good in this world. Not for me, not for someone else who needs it. Need vs. want is something I also struggle with.
Mid, you and I are on the same page about the beach! There is nothing like it!
