Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
So we found out today at work that we are supposed to have another walk on Wednesday. If they show up this time! I've already told a few people, I am not stressing about it, I'm not killing myself this week for it. I don't care. But I'm still anxious. The store manager is on vacation, as well as my department manager. So I was already worried about getting my work done this week, since my department supervisors don't always seem to care that I have tasks to do and would rather see me doing multiple things at a time, while they stand around. If they weren't my supervisors, I'd tell them off. (And yes, I've told my department manager and store manager many times, but as they say "while the cat's away, the mice will play")
Some things are still good from last week, but most of my tasks are daily things. Today I was able to work on some things, but as we were short staffed, I couldn't stay on my tasks. And honestly, my supervisors were good today. We were busy, so I was needed. I can't argue against that, no matter how much I try to.
On top of everything, I definitely have a kidney stone (or more, not sure). And today, I was sluggish in all I did. My back hurt no matter what I tried. And I didn't sleep great last night, so I was exhausted early in the day. And normally, I'd just drink a Dr Pepper - but this is why I have issues with kidney stones and gout. So I am physically unable to do more than what is given. I know in the end, whether they come or not, it won't matter. It's still stressful regardless.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
Walking is a great channel for anxiety. If nobody else shows, you can still make solid use of the anxiety channel by doing the walk yourself.
Easy does it, Eab. Gentle support while you work it through.
Sometimes, seeing what it takes to complete the daily task and finding that organizing the list so you are able to free up more time by having a specific order can give you better comfort.
Best wishes, and focus on what you are doing, to keep 'in the moment'.
