Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hi, I'm Patty. I've had anxiety for years but it's usually controlled. In the past 6 years I've had a chronic illness that causes constant dizziness, it's call vestibular migraine. In the past few months my anxiety has been awful. I also have been on clonazepam for 3 years twice a day. I just started Zoloft but am taking 1/8 of a 25mg pill every other day because I'm very sensative to meds. Today I increased it to 1/4 of the pill.
the meds cause lots of anxiety because I have a problem with reading about them. I also am hypothyroid.
lately I've been waking up with adrenaline every morning causing more anxiety.
I don't know how to get out of this negative thinking cycle I'm in. I will be starting CBT next week.
Im very afraid of disease. My grandmother died 40 years ago when I was 17 and I was very close to her. She was told she had a sinus infection and 3 months later they said they made a mistake and it was throat cancer and 3 years later she was gone. I've never been able to get past them making this awful mistake and misdiagnosing her. So my trust in doctors is very low. They say I have something and I go to many of them to get it checked. This dizziness disorder doesn't make sense to me even though I've been diagnosed by two top doctors. I don't understand how anyone can have a silent migraine for years everyday and since it causes dizziness instead of the actual headache I'm dizzy all the time. I do believe over the past few months the anxiety and stress has made it worse but I don't know how to stop the bad thoughts.
Im curious if anyone has adrenaline every morning? I want to know how to stop this constant worry and thinking about it. If anyone can help I woukd appreciate it. Thank you for listening

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

Sometimes, I think I have ODD. I can be oppositional. It seems that the only times that I feel like cleaning are when I should be doing something else or I have to go somewhere. Well, not everytime but most of the time. Yesterday, I was supposed to be doing online training for work but instead, I decided to work on my kitchen table. Most of the time, I don't know where to start and give...

Sorry for not understanding, but I'm not sure what you mean by, "adrenaline every morning." I can't imagine taking pharmaceutical adrenaline, but? ? ?
Hyper-vigilant awakenings is one of my PTSD symptoms. Waking up with panic attacks is one of my GAD symptoms. Is it anywhere in the ballpark?
I have some similarities to you. I have hadhimotos auto- immune thyroid ,so my thyroid levels swing back and forth. But mostly hypo I have dizziness and vertigo from inner ear inflammation but not diagnosed with that condition. It seems to flare up on and off
I understand that “ adrenaline “. It’s like someone has turned on a flood of anxiety like for no reason. Jolting the body
I don’t take antidepressants because I can’t tolerate the side effects
Just saying hi. Sorry your going thru all this. It’s for sure not easy
