Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I've never written anything in this support group before, but things in my life have gotten to the point where I feel I must seek some help from somewhere. Nearly every single day lately - for the last 4 or 5 months, or more - I've felt very anxious, and full of worry over several different aspects of my life, surroundings, and my family members. I think my anxiety was fueled to the extreme back in May of this year when my rent on my new 12 month lease went up ! I even begged the leasing office to NOT raise my rent, or at least ONLY raise it a very minimal amount, but they hardly budged at all. They only gave me a 20 dollar less break than what they said they " could have " charged me ! That difference while I was grateful, still didn't make that much of a difference as far as my monthly expenses / and budget. So financial worries have been a big concern for me. Also my parents are dealing with 24 / 7 problems because my Mom has Parkinson's disease, and it's very advanced at this point. Even though it's advanced to the point where many people would have already put my Mom in a nursing home, my Dad doesn't want to do that to her. They've been married for 65 years ! My Mom would be completely LOST without him ! Plus it goes the other way around too, I'm sure even though Mom really isn't the same person she used to be now. So my Dad has been facing the constant struggle of trying to take care of Mom at home. He has " some " home health care assistance, but it's only part-time. That's all he could afford since Medicare / Medicaid doesn't help enough at all ! I deal with my own health issues, having severe osteoarthritis in both knees - using a walker, and a manual wheelchair, so even IF I owned a car, and drove, I still couldn't help my parents much at all. I wish I could. I feel so helpless when I think about what they go through every day, and night. One of my nieces WAS helping my Dad out for awhile, but she's turned out to be a chaotic MESS, and NO help at all. Now she's still living with Dad, but NOT helping him with Mom at all ! As if all of this isn't enough to worry about, recently my ac unit here in my apartment quit on me ! I'm waiting today for them to come back out to replace it ! They promised me that they would replace it with a NEW unit TODAY ! I pray that they do because I can't go through yet ANOTHER sleepless night in here at 85 degrees ALL night long ! ALSO... about a month ago I made the decision to take back an ex-bf to live with me. It's been a very mixed blessing to say the least. We obviously still have " issues ", so I wonder now IF I truly made the right choice taking him back. Only time will tell I suppose... but in the meantime it's a daily cause of worry, fears, doubts, and overall stress.

Welcome to this group!
If your rent was raised AFTER you signed your lease, then you report the company to state board that oversees rental prices.
It is hard to change in any relationship, so take your time, see the way things work, and improve on those that are not working as well.
Best wishes.
I would say though, that unless you go visit, you aren't going to know how your niece is coping. It's draining looking after others and help is often a way to see if criticism is actaully needed, because your niece will either be incredibly grateful that you helped out, or not care either way. That will tell you if she was struggling in a hard situation, but trying. Go help with something and talk to her while you help. See what she comes out with.
:) As to the dude, rather you than me, cats are cheaper. :D But they do help pay the rent and they are warm and cuddly in bed. :)
I hope everything works out and pls feel free to message me if I can be of assistance. You seem like a very caring and beautiful person.
