P.S. Calling you by his middle name might be even better. I wanted to name my second son, "Amadeus" but worried where 20th century U.S. Junior High might take that name.
I was 20 when I first started feeling really anxious, and I didn't reach out for help until I was about 25. It's not always an easy step to take, asking for help or even knowing where to turn to. So, congrats on doing so and being proactive. Medication was a huge help for me. At first, I didn't feel much better, and I was afraid to ask for a higher dosage for fear that my doctor would think I was just trying to score some high dosage of Xanax. I'm so glad I did I expressed my concerns though. No matter who you're speaking to about your anxiety, whether it be your doctor, therapist, family, or friends I would say to just be completely open and transparent about how you feel and what you need. Most of the time people understand and will help you however they can.
Good luck. You're not alone!
