Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hi all, I posted on here a few days ago about having my first panic attack, feeling overwhelmed with anxiety and insomnia. I talked to my doctor and we made a few medication changes. Since these are new to me Im wondering what other people's experiences are with them. She prescribed me clonazepam 2x a day and I believe this really helped, but I only took one last night so I cant say for sure. She also prescibed seroquel for sleep. I took one of these last night and while it made me feel completely wiped, it wasnt in a good way. I felt over tired and confused. Is seroquel something my body will need to adjust to? Having insomnia my body tends to fight anything that will lead me towards sleep. So that is also part of the problem. Any tips or suggestions are welcome!

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I can relate. I’ve been in the position where I want to sleep but my body keeps fighting it. I want to sleep naturally without the help of drugs.
With most prescriptions it’s a trial and error type of deal. You have to give it a chance to see how your body reacts to it.
Drugs help but they also mask the problem. We have to figure out what’s causing the anxiety/panic and deal with that.
Breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, therapy, listening to sleep stories on the “Calm” ap helped me a bit. Also definitely stay away from caffeine, alcohol, nicotine. That will make it worse
My therapy journal was my breakthrough on that psycho snot knot. Allowing myself to scribble free-form train of thought about my anxieties of the day eased the knots and eventually grew into the most powerful sleep aid in my medicine chest.
