Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

It sounds like you're having a rough time right now, which I am really sorry to hear. I have never taken those specific medications, but know from personal experience that it can be really rough starting and adjusting to new medications. It would be even tougher to be alone. But I am glad you reached out for support on here because you certainly are not alone.
When I am having a rough time, I try to practice good self care. Is there something you can do to help you relax? Maybe put in a favorite movie or take a warm bath or listen to some calming music or make a cup of warm tea? I know it can be tough to get yourself to do things like that sometimes when you are feeling very low, but if you can, I think it may help.
Feel free to message me on here if you want to chat...I will be on frequently throughout the day.
Sadly it doesn't have this effect any more. :D Well not sadly, I have a job. but it had that effect for probably a week.
Best wishes!
Health anxiety makes it even more difficult dealing the start up side effects of medications. I think upset stomach is a pretty common side effect of most medications. I think it has something to do with the fact that there are many serotonin receptors in the GI tract, not just in the brain. Who knew? I remember I was fascinated when I learned that fact. But hopefully the stomach issues will resolve in a few days. I know I had a little nausea when I started my last med, but it lasted just a few days and then went away. Hopefully the same will be true for you.
When you are feeling nervous about experiencing a side effect, try to remind yourself that no matter what, you will survive. No matter what happens, you will be able to handle it. I know it sounds simple and can be hard to do in the moment, but the little reminders really can help.
I am glad you are feeling better today. Please keep us updated!
