However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I’m new to the group I’ve never joined anything like this before. But about three days ago my anxiety pretty much overtook me. I had a nervous stomach times ten, felt nauseous and when felt like I was going to be sick it was just dry heaves. My husband and mom finally got me to the doctor yesterday. Was prescribed adavant, increased my lexapro and gave me something for the nausea. I'm so worried this is going to be a new normal for. I've dealt anxiety my whole life but nothing like this. I'm going back to work tomorrow to try and get back to normal. Any advice suggestions on how to tamp down that anxious feeling I get. Thanks

I guess I'm wondering if it is too early to be worried about this being a new normal for you. From what you have shared here, it sounds like an isolated incident. Even a few times running doesn't make it a new normal. Have I missed something which causes you to think it is more than an isolated incident?
You have already done everything I would do myself for an isolated incident. 1) You sought medical attention. 2) You wrote about the incident to help focus and summarize the event. 3) You shared your anxieties within a supportive environment. 4) you are making plans to get back to your strictly personal norm.
Isolated incidence or not, I'm glad you felt safe to share here. Share freely. Share often. Keep us posted.

You took the important first step in writing it out.
