Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I've never joined a depression or anxiety support group before. I've been thinking I should find one in my area to actually go to in person but... you know.. Anxiety (haha). I'm hoping this might help. I have Generalized and Social Anxiety Disorders with a nice big helping of Major Depressive Disorder. I just went up to 200 mg Zoloft and I take 2-4 0.5 mg tabs of Klonopin every day. I still feel like I'm at my wits' end most of the time. Has anyone else really wished that there was someplace people like me could go - like a substance abuse/rehab facility? Some of them look like spas... And I know none of it is that pleasant or easy; I don't think it would be for someone with anxiety or depression either. I just really like the idea of checking out of my life - for a VALIDATED PHYSICAL PROBLEM - for a few weeks to reboot, kick-start, shut down for a while... something like that. I've been told that anxiety disorders are when your body gets used to a certain level of constant anxiety and has trouble recognizing that it's unneccessary. Maybe I just need someone to boss me around and take care of me for a few weeks and I could come back new...I'm so tired of trying... I'm tired all the time. I have the worst sleep schedule of anyone I know. I'm typing this at 3:30 am because I went to bed at 7 pm today and woke up at midnight... I'll probably go to sleep soon and get up at 11ish, get tired again around 5, sleep some more.... I'm just so tired all the time and sleep is my escape. I am letting everyone down... or I will eventually. I just need some proof that it won't always be this hard (but I'm not even sure I'd believe it if I saw it)...

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

Thanks again you guys. It means a lot.
But I don't get that so I soldier on. :D And I try not to say no to social stuff. I also have GAD and major depressive disorder but like to think I'm coming out the other side of them mostly... slowly... I try to say yes to social things, and then I try to make myself go to them on the actual day. :D It dose help. it is helping.
