Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
The company was very understanding and asked me to reach out again in the future. It’s nice to know they care about employees. I’m not sure if I want to stay in that field, though, because it also happens to cause me a lot of anxiety.
It must be hard at times to have to manage so much and feel alone. I was very alone after moving to a new city once and it was a challenge. I hope you are able to find connection and people to talk to; that would be helpful.
Try not to predict what may or may not happen at the new job. You can't know until you try. It might be great and just what you need, especially in terms of making new connections and building a sense of accomplishment.
Some anxiety is to be expected with all you are doing, and that is okay. Don't let it deter you from moving forward into new opportunities.
Take good care.
whatever the sets of stresses and/or changes i am assimilating, having a support network makes a huge diff in my own coping. as valuable as pro support can be, it is my peer supporters who help me translate that high dollar jargon into daily life.
i hope you'll feel safe to vent, sort and/or reach out for support here.
welcome aboard. you are not alone. listening. . .
I wont tell you that you have no valid concerns. I cant stand it when people tell us that we are wrong about our view of the world. We know people judge us. Its a reality, but their judgement does not have to define us. We define ourselves. I know this to be true through experience. Its a self fulfilling prophecy. I have defined myself as defective my whole life and it is a reality because I believe it to be true. Its not true though! Its not true for me, and it is not true for you. You are doing what you need to do. You have made the move and that is courage in my book. You have that!
If you need more support I will be here for you. Write me anytime.

Moving across country is awesome! That's powerful to know you did it!
Make sure to put yourself out there. I found some places are easier to make friends than others, but either way you need to put yourself out there. It is hard, some days I physically had to force myself to get moving. And some days it’s okay to get stuck in a rut and reflect.
You are lucky in the fact that you recognize your anxiety… and you are able to process it so much better. A lot of people feel this way and don’t know why. They turn to unhealthy, toxic coping mechanisms. They feel they are not allowed to “check out” for a little while. But it is okay. Just beware of focussing so much on your anxiety and depression that you miss everything else.
I always try to think back to a place where I felt happy and good, and then I think that I’ve survived feeling like this before, and I will survive again. And one day I will be happy and good again. It is the nature of life. For every down there must be an up right? I would like to believe so. The downs are unavoidable, so I tell myself the ups are too. I give myself a timeline. Decide I will allow my anxiety a few days or a week to determine my actions. Allow myself to “check out” and deal with those feelings. But then once the deadline is up, I pick myself up and get out there. It is hard, and the first couple of days usually feel not quite right, but eventually you get into living again. And you are able to find a balance. Breathing also helps!
Life is just a limited amount of time we have, and I refuse to let myself feel down and out for all of it. That is where my deadline idea came from.
I know we all process our own ways, but sometimes we hear a different perspective and something clicks and helps us improve the way we work through things ourselves.
I hope my perspective helps. :)
