Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hi. I'm a 66 year old Brit. I've had anxiety on odd occasions since I was 13 but much more frequently in the past 3-4 years. It's never for no reason but due to reacting with a sense of doom and impending disaster to problems that others seem to cope with. I guess I should be grateful that I don't have it all the time but I feel so wretched and helpless when I do have it. I notice that I always feel worse in the morning (sometimes the early hours!). I don't want to make this post long so will stop here. But it does help to find other people who feel the same i.e. I'm not alone. Thanks

She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

Most of the time, I don't know where to start and give...

Be careful on assuming that other people are coping with. I have severe anxiety that can scald paint off the walls but other people often tell me they wish they could be as calm as I am. Careful what you wish for, my friend. Appearances can be deceiving.
Just knowing I am not alone with ^it^ is an important part of how I keep fooling all those folks. A place I feel safe letting the truth be known makes it easier to keep my metaphorical mask on. I need extra help in dealing with the literal masks of Coronaville.
You've taken the important first step in writing it out.
