Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hello, this is my first time posting. Lately I've been feeling really lonely, I live with my 10 year old son and my husband has been away training for the military since January. We think he will be back September. During that time we've had very little phone time. He got his phone taken away a few days ago and wont be getting it back for 3 weeks. I get moments of extreme sadness and anxiety. I have family and friends to talk to but they don't really understand what is like to have anxiety and depression.
The way I would cope with him being away at first was by socializing and doing things over the weekend. With the situation, I can't do that anymore. I haven't gone anywhere except outside for walks. I am so terrified I don't let my brother or anyone visit me. I panick when I run into someone in the hallway of my apartment building. Everything is just very overwhelming and dark right now. I do talk to a therapist once a week but I don't know that I get a lot from it. The main think is I feel disconnected, disconnected to people and I just want to feel that again...

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

Sometimes, I think I have ODD. I can be oppositional. It seems that the only times that I feel like cleaning are when I should be doing something else or I have to go somewhere. Well, not everytime but most of the time. Yesterday, I was supposed to be doing online training for work but instead, I decided to work on my kitchen table. Most of the time, I don't know where to start and give...

If you need any help shoot me an IM or just reply back. I have been there and have done that a few times.
Having a life in transition derailed by Coronaville royally sucks. Vent freely. Vent often. It appears to be all we get for coping mechanisms under the marshal law, especially if you are improper social distancing with children. Corona landed callously upon the 3 heavily traumatized orphans I am providing foster care for and? ? ? I do wonder what all this drama is doing to Coronaville's "filthy little germ bags." For sure ^it^ has given nightmares to at least one four year old.
Dunno. . . Making due with what's available. . . Vent freely. Vent often, for as long as the marshal law enforcers permit.
When it comes to separation, it's part of military life.
Prior to technology, military spouses had little contact during deployments as telephones were limited to official use.
So, using the techniques learned then, hoping you are able to find them helpful as you make your way to a better balance, here they are.
Stay hydrated. Keep a list of things to do daily, to include going outside with your son, taking a walk, writing about what you see on your walk, and making time to do special simple activities with your son and taking pictures so you can share with your husband when communication is allowed again.
We wrote letters, drew pictures, and used those to stay connected.
With your brother and others, you can still be in touch with them, It will actually help you calm the feelings and keep you focused in "now" time.
Best wishes as you make your way to a better balance.
