Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Hii everyone!
A couple of years back I started suffering with anxiety. At first I really didn't know what was wrong with me - I honestly thought I was dying. I had heart palpitation, didn't sleep, sick after every meal and somewhat angry. I didn't understand what was happening at all. So much so I moved out of my home with my boyfriend and back to my parents because I didn't want him to have to care for me. I had never seen my anxiety but people around me had. My parents kept trying to discuss this with me but my only truth was that there must be something wrong with me! I went to the doctors, dragged my mum to the hospital 3 times with me. Until finally I met the kindest nurse who saw something was wrong and didn't brush me off. Next step was to see the GP who offered my counselling which I accepted which help to some degree but wouldn't kick the feeling. So I was put on medication and in due course stop my counselling sessions. I stayed on the medication for well over a year and recently have just stopped. Which was pretty difficult really. Everything was going well and to be honest everything is going well. I'm a very blessed in my life and really couldn't ask for more. I was able to quit my job to focus on me. But maybe this has back fired as my anxiety has come back to bite me on the bum. But luckily this time I very understanding of my disorder but I really struggle with the psyical issues it causes me. After my main meals I start feeling nausea and the feeling gets more and more then I can't stop being sick. Anxiety doesn't scare me but not being able to hold my meal down does. At the start of the week I was nervous I was dying again but I know this isn't really what's happening. Was wondering if anyone else suffers from nausea and how they cope?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Loss of appetite is one of my most dangerous anxiety symptoms. I have nearly starved myself to death more than once. If I push myself too hard to eat, nausea, along with several other digestive symptoms, is the inevitable result.
I cope by watching my diet very carefully, eating very slow and chewing my food thoroughly before swallowing. Plain soda crackers help ease the nausea.
Gentle support while you find what works for you. Welcome aboard.
You've taken the important first step in writing it out.
Keep a daily journal to help you sort out the words, thoughts, emotions, and feelings and the pattern of anxiety. This will help you figure out what works best for you.
Use stop, pause, breathe, repeat until you feel calm.
There are many triggers in the area of the throat reflex gag effect.
Anxiety is a helper. Anxiety is natural. When it goes into overload helping, bringing it back to within normal range quickly will help reduce the sensations.
Best wishes as you find your better balance.
When you stopped the medication, was this under a psychiatrist's care? Depending on which medication, it's best to work closely with your psychiatrist to gradually cut back over a pretty long period of time.
Only one year of medication is a pretty short time, especially if you might not have been fully ready mentally and emotionally to go off them. Some medications, called SSRI's, take 2 months to even start working, so I was just wondering why you stopped them 10 months later? I have been taking anxiety medications daily for more than 20 years now. I need them, just to feel okay enough to get through my day. That, and I do weekly therapy sessions with a therapist who specializes in anxiety.
You are going to be okay, but please consider therapy and also like @mtd said, you might need to go back on the medications until things get more under control. See your psychiatrist and discuss your symptoms with them.
