Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
i was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder about a year ago (i'm 15 years old) and i have been with my girlfriend (lgbt) for about six months now. recently my anxiety has got worse and it has impacted my school life, home life, happiness and confidence.
i have always been a very open person with my girlfriend, ie i used to get dressed in front of her and i'd sleep naked and i'd talk to her about everything and we wouldn't really have any boundaries. but recently, i'd say the last month or so, i've been more insecure than i've ever been and i'm slipping back into my depression which i was diagnosed with about a year and a half ago but fell out of it slightly when my girlfriend got out of hospital (she was anorexic and was in hospital for 9 months, a couple months before this was when i was diagnosed and i guess it was partly because of the stress of her eating disorder).
so i've been covering up more and not talking as much around her in general and i won't "send her as much" if you get what i mean and this has all been very sudden in stopping so she's started to think that she's done something wrong and now won't talk to me as much because she's worried she'll say something wrong.
i don't really know how to explain any of it to her because i've also always been a very sexually active person but because of my insecurities, i've become less of that person and don't like stripping around her anymore but i still do so that she doesn't worry and i don't really know how to explain it to her. my anxiety has never really impacting our relationship because i'm more comfortable and happy around her than i am to anyone else including my family. but i've been getting sadder and less confident and more angry and i don't know what i should do. is this just a problem i have to just look over or is there any way i can explain it to her without triggering her depression?
i don't know if i've explained it well or even if i explained anything. i guess it's one of those "it makes sense in your head but not in pen and paper" things

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

If she knows about your depression and anxiety, sit with her and tell her how you're feeling. That you're going through a rough time right now and that it has nothing to do with her. That this isn't her fault and it's just something you're struggling with internally.
When people are depressed they tend to lose interest in things, so try to find something that you do like to do whether that's taking a walk outside or playing with your pet or something else. Try to do these things together.
I know I'm not a counselor or a therapist, and I don't even know if I helped any, but I truly wish the best for you and your girlfriend.
All the best,
Kay
