Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hi everyone. I had an anxiety attack last night and I was able to take care of myself better than usual. I have a routine for my anxiety attacks, and thought I would share on the off chance that it could help anyone. I can't do this routine every time, but in the middle of the night I'm at home and have acess to all these supplies.
1. Get a bucket or go in the bathroom in case I throw up. Wash my face if it's overheating/sweating.
2. Take some pain medecine, like Ibuprofin. I'm small so I usually just take one.
3. Make tea with ginger, peppermint, or both. I drink it quickly while it's hot.
4. Breath deeply, go outside if I'm having trouble breathing.
5. Turn on my heating pad and put it on my abs, stomach, and uterus area.
6. Rub my back. I have a therecane that I can use to rub my own back but you could also use hands to rub your shoulders.
People with anxiety aren't wierd, we just need to take extra steps to care for ourselves sometimes. I am just like everyone else. I hope you are all having a good day.

That’s great that you found something that works for you.
My own anxiety seems to come in too many flavors for strict routine. I've compiled a psychotherapy toolbox which keeps me supplied with coping mechanisms to help me through. Vomiting hasn't made my toolbox, but every case is unique. Glad it works for you.
