Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I think this deserves to go under panic attacks but I know Anxiety and Panic go hand in hand. My panic attacks are all encompassing. I've always wished I could be normal and not have them. However, I am normal, I just have panic attacks....my normal is panic attacks. My trigger is highways. When I get a panic attack I sweat, chest tightens, and my senses become hyperactive. I'm unable to practice most techniques due to my high level of sensitivity when in panic mode. For example, I cannot pop a mint in my mouth or chew gum because my brain insists I will swallow it or I'll be unable able to breath properly. I cannot concentrate on my breathing because I fear I'll not be able to take my next breath. The logic side of my brain seems to just go haywire. I beat myself up over this because I feel I should know better. I wrote this out to feel better and to let any one else know that you are not alone.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Different triggers, but similar symptoms on the panic attacks. A not-so-funny thing about panic attacks is the way they totally cripple my logic centers. What I **know** becomes irrelevant in the grips of panic. I **know** that maskite in front of me is human, but? ? ? Let me read your lips. I need proof positive that you **HAVE** lips.
Sigh. . .
Yes, it helps to know I am not alone.
