Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I don't find my anxiety peaks at certain times, except its usually pretty high on Sunday because I dread work. I have social anxiety though, so I think it has to do with dreading talking to people at work.
Are there things that happen in the morning that trigger you? Maybe anxiety about the coming day?
There is a product called "Calm".
It may be anxiety about the day but I’m not sure I’ve figured out a trigger, so many worrisome thoughts pass through my mind it’s hard to pick just one. I mostly feel like I’m froozen and unable to process my thoughts yet somehow I manage to get through the steps of my day in a constiant feeling of unease. I feel my anxiety through my whole body and it’s so hard to deal with.
Ms frustrated,
I take Effexor which I started taking about 6 years ago and I haven’t noticed to many “bad” side affects. I was on clonopin twice daily which seemed to help allot but they were concerned being on it long term so I’ve had to go without.
My own anxiety seems to be complex enough that every time I think I have identified The Pattern and/or The Cause, the cosmic kaleidoscope turns and the fractals shift to a new shape and schedule. Well just it all ! ! ! ! Is consistency too much to ask?
I completely understand that!! Every time I feel like I’ve gotten a handle on things it morphs into something different that I have to deal with, I try to let it go using my CBT skill but it always finds a way to grab hold and not let go. What’s hard for me is that when I try to research ways to help feel better my anxiety worsens because I’m actively thinking about it and I end up reverting to being withdrawn and the cycle continues.
Thank you everyone for your comments and understanding, I feel better being on here already.
When you notice the change, that means you changed something, so practice changing to make it work for you.
Welcome to the group, best wishes.
Thanks everyone!!
It's a good community here, very helpful to talk to people in the same boat.
