A lot of anxiety comes from being a perfectionist. I have had anxiety over 20 years. I know that I am a perfectionist, have always been that way.
Journaling your feelings, having a general healthy lifestyle such as good eating habits, enough sleep, exercising, socializing.... all will help with your general well being. Best of luck to you!!
"Work smarter, not harder" is an engineering mantra which suits my psychotherapy needs, as well. Trying harder seems to be power food for my anxiety. When I back off and ply some thoughtful observation and compassion, the snot knots of my anxiety detangle allot more easily than just grabbing a thread and yanking with all my strength. Mindless yanking only seems to tighten the knots and give the slime coverings a stronger hold.
Or am I lost in metaphor again? That happens allot when I am sorting through my psychoweirds. Where's my dedicated word for ^it^?
In part because, if one self reflects, one should often be able to find things that you'd do differently when looking back...that's growth.
Maybe cut yourself a break and realize that good enough is good enough?
I also think that it's a fast way to burn out. Personal experience. Which means...I'm terrible at keeping my own advice.

It is an exercise to help your brain recover balance.
I made it a goal to relax.
Sounds easy.
I learned how to relax making decisions, which in turn helped me to be a lot more comfortable in working towards those challenging situations to a successful resolution.
