Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

This is a continuation of a post I started over a year ago about one of the more vicious psycho snot knots tangled up in the Coronaville yadda blahs.

Metaphors have always felt psychotic to me. I promise you will pull back a bloody stump if you try to pull my leg. I get lost in metaphor with discouraging ease. Light metaphors can literally blind me with the intensity of a camera flash. The psychosomatic spots of a light metaphor don't dissipate anywhere near as quickly as the literal spots from a physical light source. Poetry readings can be physically painful to my literal senses. Appreciating the spirit of a metaphor is tough for my literal nature.
I am far from confident that the Coronaville yaddah blahs are over, but am gently nudging myself to close the mandated masked social distances anyway, mostly for the sake of the foster kids. I am feeling considerable envy of my fellow seniors whose lives weren't greatly impacted by the marshal laws and are in no hurry to expand their isolated horizons. Those marshal laws are far more humane toward the seniors they were designed to protect than the children who are only carriers of life.
Dunno what I am reaching for here. . . Just sorting. . . Lost in metaphor again. . .
Again I leave the mood icon on the rapid cycling median. I am fine. How are you?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
I don't doubt that The Virus is real enough, but am praying that the germaphobes won't create global chaos every flu season. Sequestering the healthy is downright dangerous. As always, the children and marginalized citizens are paying the highest price.
