Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I don't even want to vent much right now but I feel like I need to. Just want to know I don't have to keep it all to myself and that someone might listen. Lately I've been feeling weird. I don't even know how to describe it. I think I'm just trying to figure myself out but that is never fun. I prefer to be ignorant. When people say ignorance is bliss they really freaking mean it because this sucks.ive been so on edge and anxious about a lot of things lately. It feels so nice to never have to think about your problems or to not even realize they are problems. I'm sure I'll look back on these days and remember them as sad and lonely, but also possibly some kind of learning experience. Kind of like how I look back on the days when my anxiety just started to come into the picture and I was clueless. But I was slowly learning and eventually I figured out how to cope a little bit and figured out triggers and such. Not sure what I am figuring out this time. All I can say about this is that I hate thinking it is too hard. I don't understand anything and I get so frustrated and anxious because of it. I guess i am trying to figure out why i think the way i do and why i feel how i feel and its scary. Idk why, i dont even want to talk about it i just feel sucky. This all probably sounds like gibberish to you guys I wish I could make this more understandable but I am not sure how because I don't even understand it myself. Just been feeling empty and alone with some anxiety sprinkled here and there. My thoughts at night have been so obsessive for no reason. Not over anything really important just random things that won't leave my head and it makes it hard to sleep. I'm just tired and I keep getting scared by things I see online but the internet is my only good distraction right now. Idk guys just trying to hang in there. I hope you're all doing good and if not, we can hang in there together.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
In the past I have found meditation helps and mindfulness just being in the moment what ever thoughts come into your mind recognise but dont engage just listen to your senses close your eyes so smell, physical feeling. Your breathing, etc.
Sorry I'm not much help but just want you to know I hear you!
Lots of love and peaceful thoughts
Xx
Continued support while you find your way out. Hanging in there with you. Keep venting. Your answers are in there.
The traditional ashram image of meditation as long periods of sitting still doesn't work for me, at all, with my hyper-active metabolism. Guided meditations give me fantasies of guru torture. My breakthroughs on using meditation as an anxiety management tool came through a more basic definition of "Meditation: to think or ponder deeply." I pick my topic for daily meditation in the morning and meditate, here and there, as my day progresses. In the early going, I wrote a brief synopsis of the subject on a slip of paper that I could carry with me to look at during receptive moments.
I'm sorry that you're struggling the way that you are. I've been there, with constant thoughts that circle around, not going away. And having them interfere with being able to sleep as well. You are right when you say that "you are learning", because you are. We often don't see it when we are going through hard times, but afterward, we are sometimes able to look back and say, "Wow, I actually learned something from that."
I went though a very tough period for years emotionally, and was just exhausted and just kept wondering, "why is this going on and on?" What I didn't know at the time, was that my suffering, trials, problems etc, were actually strengthening me to be able to reach out and help people later in life.
I don't know if anything I said is of any help to you, but I do want you to know that you can private message me any time, if you need to talk, vent, or need a listening ear.
