Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Many of you have read about my highs and lows of job searching. I've ghosted countless interviews since the end of 2020 (just not mentally ready to deal with the public). Tired of my current job, I threw my resume in the air again and landed a Zoom interview.
In my heart and mind I believe NOW is the time to move forward in my career after recovering from such devastation in 2020. I'm more honest with my DS family than my real family. So I can admit to you that I am totally afraid. Feel the fear and do it anyway???
Will let you know how things go. I really have to move forward. My mental and physical wellbeing depends on it.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
without a fear to face, there can be no courage.
stay brave.
stay you.
keep us posted.
there is more to moving forward than landing a different job. be sure the job is a ***better*** job before you take the job. i like to research the companies i am interviewing with before the actual interview so that i can have a more clear feeling on whether i **want** the job.
I believe job interviews go both ways. You have total control over this situation. You will do your best at the interview, and that's all any of us can do. If it works out, great. If it doesn't work out, oh well, there will be another job out there.
Try your best not to extra=stress about it. I know that is hard not to do! Think of it as exciting, a new start, I'm proud of myself for doing this interview, etc. Build yourself up with positive statements. You can do this!
Sounds exciting. Please do keep us posted. We are here for you. Good luck!!
I agree with what others have posted. I always tell my daughters and others who are nervous about the interview process that an interview is your chance to ask them questions, too. Just because you go on the interview doesn’t mean that you have to accept the job if it is offered to you. I believe each interview is a chance to learn more about what you really want in a job.
My sister once had an interview and realized while in the interview that it was not the job for her. She actually stopped the interview and left. She didn’t want to waste their time or hers.
You can do this! Hope it goes well!
