Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I'm talking about the Lindsay Clancy mistrial. Why didn't the Judge substitute an alternate for the male juror who refused to follow the law? He singlehandedly caused a mistrial. Apparently, he thought that he knew better than the other 11 jurors. If you can't tell by now, I wanted Lindsay to be acquired if criminal responsibility, as did the other 11 jurors. Having had a psychotic episode myself, I can totally see that Lindsay was psychotic, heard the commands and, in her mind, saved her children. She has been on suicide watch ever since. Does that sound like someone who was just tired of her responsibilities? Anyone else follow this case?

68FSunny and for this I'm thankful. Sandra, did you get to mix the color with the white for the room ? When I taught art classes we had to do that many times and I'd remind everyone to add the color to the white not the other way around, I know it seems to make more sense to add white to the color but white needs to be the base and then add the color. Another trick is make a color softer with...

My understanding is also that Massachusetts has an unusual law governing these cases and it caused the mistrial.
I worry she will not get further mental health help no matter what her legal situation resolves to.
The whole story is sad and terrible. We had one like this in the town I lived in, near where I lived. Andrea Yates got life in a behavioral health prison and her husband basically ignored her postpartum psychosis for years. She apparently followed some kind of religious cult that her husband was not gung ho about according to a recent documentary on TV. Andrea Yates felt she was not a good mother and needed to send the kids to God to save them from herself. It is just very sad. I knew people who worked with her husband.
There are some similarities to both cases and it just upset me to hear some of the same "system" and family failures and medical help failures.
But Linsday Clancy murdered her children! Could she have not stopped after choking and murdering the first one? And think, what have I done? No, she went on to do it two more times!
I do remember the Andrea Yates case. It was all over the news as they live very near us so it was also local news. How in the world does that happen?
