Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I started a new job just out of college. I was new to the industry, new to the office, and surrounded by the knowlege that the economy sucks and I was lucky to have a job at all. As a result, I accepted less then a living wage and was constantly afraid. It only got worse the longer time went on. There wasn't anything for me to do, I spent the majority of every day on my phone, reading, because there was NOTHING ELSE TO DO! There was no support or training from managment and they ran on nepotism a lot. Essentially, I spent the last year dreading going to work and terrified everyday that that would be the day I was fired. And then it happened, with absolutely NO warning, they let me go. Told me to clean off my desk and leave before the end of the day. Now, I have a new job. Great boss, better pay, supportive manager, awesome coworkers, and it's in the same industry so I know what I'm doing. Even when I make a mistake, it's okay as long as I keep making the effort and being on time. AND I'M STILL AFRAID!! I constantly feel like the ground is going to drop out from under me at any momement. I don't know how to make it stop. Any recomendations?

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

Once you find the pattern of your thoughts, you have a starting point to help you change how you process the life style change.
Instead of viewing it from the firing to hiring direction...follow your success backwards, and use your success to give you the positive image you display to your self, to the work place, and to your thoughts.
Congratulations on making such a positive move! That first work experience provided you with many abilities, skills, and knowledge that are helping you to be better balanced in this work place.
Your fear...only you can change how you feel...and that takes determination, courage, and putting one foot in front of the other positive, no matter what!
You can do this, stand tall, smile and speak with confidence, and move forward.
Being fired was a blessing for your well-being. Every time you feel off, put the positive back in front, and praise your self for what you are doing NOW.
Stay focused on now,
Best wishes.
