Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Anyone else get scary, intrusive thoughts during anxiety and stress? I had a really really awful day. Im in an honors society and a bunch of people in it kinda argued with me and the head of it got really mad at me for not having some work done in time. I had told her i was confused on the rules of it and she took it as me arguing and attacked me on it. Then just recently at home my father said "grow up" to me when i said i wanna start meds. He says to me "get tuff" and looks down on me like im beneath him and gives me the look people give when they think someone is crazy. Ive always had intrusive thoughts but these times make it worse and make me scared that im crazy or could lose my mind and do something awful even though thats not in my heart. Im having a real hard time coping with life and I dont like living. I go to therapy tomorrow thankfully. If I share intrustive thoughts like this will they wanna send me to the hospital? Thats a huge fear of mine I couldnt handle that. Im scared to be too open about intrusive thoughts because of this.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I couldn't even begin to guess if medication would be an option or not...that's something you might talk to your therapist about even though she/he wouldn't be the one making the decisions.
Hugs, high school definitely is full of stress
Continued support while you sort your own, Daisy. For certain, it sucks like an industrial vacuum, both literally and figuratively.
Warm hugs,
Karan
