Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Lately I feel with Roomie not talking hardly ever-I'm starved for conversation. Ive heard him sit and have conversation with friends and family for hours on the phone but when it comes to me hardly nothing. He stated the other day its because we are always around each other...which doesnt make sense. We are around each other and dont talk unless I strike up the conversation. I guess I should just be happy but it gets lonely. Its in the 30s today. I am getting over a cold and everyone in the office has had it. I imagine it will go from being cold to hot with no spring inbetween like last year here.
MY hair has been falling out alarmingly fast. Faster than its growing. I have an appt with endocronologist in Feb. I'm a little upset at my primary as she did not up my meds. I will be anxious to see what the endo does. I even went so far as to get a consult for hair extensions because the hair on the top of my head is so thin. I'm suppose to get them installed next week. So we'll see.
I still dont have internet or phone where I'm living. I get about 10 min of tv every evening after work while Roomie listens to his radio talk shows-then when its over he comes in, plops on the couch, ask for his dinner and turns it to his programs. I do manage to get a little coverage in the bathroom-sometimes enough to read the news, but other than that it sure makes for long nights.
I could switch to ATT and pay a lot more for service but don't want to really do that right now as I have bills I'm trying to pay off. Have been doing good not spending money on stuff-So- I am trying to hold out on having to but another phone (ATT is phasing out my phone so I can't use it with there service) and signing up with another company. Right now I pay 15.00 a month.
Im still quite fatigued during the days with this cold. Have been taking B12 in the afternoons for a little kick.
Hope all is well.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
MTD-Have been taking multi vitamins and Biotin. I have hypothyroidism that I've been waiting on seeing an endocronologist that I currently take meds for.
Arfie-No- not waiting on Leopard to change spots...my counselor told me he is too old to change. "Roomie" just seems appropriate because after asking him what "we" are, I'm still no closer to finding out. Ascunsion- it use to bother me. We have a quiet aggreement. We live well together peacefully.
I think his family is as confused as I am. I dont pine away after him like I use to.
There is nothing to define, just two adults making a home together. I dunno. Why is it up to him to define the relationship when you both agree to the relationship? You define it as much as he does.
Have you tried painting or drawing or crafts to keep occupied? Also sometimes just taking a walk down the street can be enlightening.
I am in a profession where if I just focused on the negative I would not be able to function. So I rather think of the positive. Reading 3 big books in 2 weeks may seem like nothing, but for a lot of people who struggle to focus due to ADD or other reasons, it is something they wish they could do. So don’t ever think anything you do is just mediocre, there is always someone out there who is in admiration of things we take for granted.
My best friend lost her hair a few years ago, and she now has a great collection of hats. She refused to let it get her down, because stressing about it made it worse. She now also has a lovely head of hair again. She just needed to be patient and find the right solution, but had the hats in the meantime.
I am just saying to remember to look for the good things too. Maybe write down something you feel lucky to have or are thankful for every day. Things always get better, so try and keep positive. Maybe reach out to old friends you haven’t spoken to in a while.
I thank God every day that I have what I have. Truth is-at 50 yo I still haven't gotten over the daddy issues. I still yearn for male attention and Roomie being who he is, just brings those feelings to the surface. I think when I get insurance, I will start seeing a counselor again. RMB- I agree-probably nothing wrong with Roomie-I admit its all me and struggle to figure out how to fix myself. Maybe I could just mimic him? Learn from him?
I think making connections with others outside the relationship is super important. My husband and I spend way too much time together sometimes. I need more interaction outside of him. So maybe it’s just a matter of cultivating some connection outside of your roommate.
