Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I'm very sensitive to just about anything and everything so much to the point my mind spirals to feel anxiously detrimental.
An example would be a self-diagnosis that can happen when googling something common as flatulence but because it's not common for me my mind goes into a Slippery Slope obsession to overcome.
Often times I have heard doctors say don't go googling any medical symptoms precisely to avoid HYSTERIA but honestly, it's hard not to overthink and not overreact.
So I know my anxiety is related to a much deeper understanding. I've always been on top of my medical and mental health chart, especially when my soon-to-be ex-husband was on active duty and it was (still is) important for me to keep track of all my medical records.
We have always been a healthy family and have always practiced healthy behaviors and healthy eating habits but for some reason since our abrupt separation, I've felt unsettled everywhere with anxiety. Uncertainty can do that if not controlled.
The good news is that I've come across good people performing public services that are kind and supportive but I still feel like there's more I can do for myself to feel confident under their care.
I was hoping someone here could shine some light and maybe share some kind of thought that would help de-escalate my nerves from uncertainty.
I feel so vulnerable and overwhelmed because my world was structured not flawlessly but accordingly to my experiences and expectations. Lately, I feel a little uneasy not because of me but because I have a hard time trusting and it's something I recognize.
I am usually the type to completely trust God and be in his loving hands but it's hard to find that balance to trust another for equilibrium.
A lot here but this is why I feel so uneasy at times because I have seen so many things gone wrong not necessarily in my life but COVID-19 being the Example.
I don't know if going to the doctor nowadays is any safer than weighing things out alone. Either way, the levels of anxiousness and concern will be but not for ever.
As I previously mentioned above in this post, I am very sensitive and need to be comforted externally because my mind has a tendency to spiral into a slippery slope disaster as a result of medical traumas.
However, I am here for myself and letting me be seen. Please if you read this to the end. Shine some loving light.
Thank you

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
which of the human factions is the rightest of the right? when the roar of the differing factions confuses me to imbalance, i listen for that quiet voice to guide me through. in my own head/heart, god never roars. she always speaks in the quietest of voices. i don't believe she uses the internet to keep me posted.
Something that helped me a lot is called CBT, you probably know about this. But I realized I have to challenge my own thinking. You know this already also, I bet. We are humans and sometimes our minds kinda go the wrong direction. I will sometimes ask God to redirect my mind and give me guidance and courage and strength to stop fretting. I reach into my coping skills toolbox and get busy doing something else. I call this my stinking thinking because in the '80s or '90s there was a woman who had a book and tape and called it this.
Be kind to yourself also. Be compassionate and have empathy for yourself.
Googling medical stuff is not necessarily bad. Unless we are making ourselves sick with the fretting and anxiety. My biggest coping skill is to challenge my thinking. I give myself the other side of the story. What if this medical issue is something I have and then challenge with what if this medical issue is not something I have. I've googled and done research and actually found some things to bring up to my doctor. I rarely admit googling though, and I describe the symptoms rather than saying I think I have whatever the disease name. The last time I was totally wrong so I've sorted of backed off. LOL.
I still don't understand how when we've labored and done our good works and deeds it is that the world dropped the BOMB on us with this whole COVID-19 foreign Medical Warfare. Genocide is not helping build a safer tomorrow... We've all gone from microbiology warfare to physical war overseas taking place but still unwavering in Faith I remain.
Of course, I am appreciative and thankful for all we are, all I have, and all I have to give because to my knowledge this is what I am here to be, more than good thoughts, love in action.
The small inner still voice is very powerful and often what I refer to as the guardian of my soul and greatest friend when I've needed self-compassion. Cognitive behavioral therapy and techniques such as staying present and mindful of the happenings are great in all but you know, I find contentment in counting my blessings and getting the answers I need and as someone else mentioned in the reply section; often the answers don't come from Google but from one is own heart.
I feel honored to be on here and privileged to do so as well. I have to thank the greatest love of man on earth for me because it's taken a great team to do so. Thank you everyone.

I'm The same way, in regard to googling things, Side effects of Medication (un-related to anxiety) I googled about anxiety, And pretty sure I have it, Along with mild depression. Do to my other medical condition. My mind wanders all the time, I overthink thing's, and panic over things.
I do believe and trust in God, But we just can't help being anxious, And overthink things.
God seems to be the only one You can trust in this CRAZY world.
Take care of Yourself- God bless
