Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I was planning on cleaning and staying home but I have to take my cat to the vet because he won't stop picking himself. I think he's allergic to fleas which I've been trying to get under control with meds since June 13th. I hope they can help him. I'm also upset because my best friend, who I've been mad at, wants to take me out and I think that entails drinking for her. I will be greatly disappointed if that's the case. She's never going to get her eating and drinking under control if she cheats. I don't even care about drinking. I'd rather get salads and go walking along the river. Thirdly, I think my brother is upset with me because I didn't like the mobile homes that I saw the other day and lost the chance to sell my home. What he doesn't know is that I am so happy that I didn't sell my home. I love it here, even though it needs major work, starting with a new roof. The thought of living in a mobile home, with neighbors so close, is a turn off. I've been in this home for just under 18 years. I listen to music loudly, have a double door so I can get out without my cat getting out, don't know my neighbors and don't really care to, and what if I meet Mr. Right after I moved? I would hope that I could move in with him and that would mean moving twice. It would have been a mistake to move. I have tears running down my face. I feel sick. My birthday is on Saturday. I'll be 66. I have to do what's best for me. Maybe I'll resume cutting my own lawn like my best friend said. As you may know, I lost a lot of weight. I feel so good! I want my best friend to feel like I do. There was a time where I lost my breath just trying to give my name over the phone. Most days, I'm able to do a lot. I used to hate Walmart because it was so big. Now I just zoom around the store, without cursing under my breath. It feels good to vent. Oh, one more thing, I'm not talking to another friend. She yelled at me for the last time. I can't tell you how many times she yelled at me or put me down. She critiques everything about me. She thinks she's helping. I know I don't have a nice neckline! I don't need to be told to wear scarves! Argh!

It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...

Happy Pre-Birthday!
YES---66 is a grand time to make decisions which make sense to you and don't have to be defended to anyone else. We get to be in charge of how we make it down the paths we choose, and the attitudes we take with us when hard things come to us without our choice.
It must be so life changing with the weight loss---your ability to move and breath and have all sorts of benefits. Don't let anyone sabatage you on your successful path! And if you wear scarves, wear them because you love scarves or gift them to the friend who was critiquing you.
It sounds like you know the pros and cons of your various housing choices and are very clear on your needs and ability to care for your home. People who are going strong pretty independently at 66 are often going strong into their 80's and beyond, so keep up the task focus and exercise and best nutrition. Being your healthy independent self is not a birthday gift all people get to enjoy. I hope you can tell your friend what activity you would like to be able to celebrate that meaningfully.
Wishing you the best birthday ever. with your trained laundry lap cat!
Take care.
Ouilliam (Liam)
As said above, sadly we can't make anyone else choose healthier choices. Your friend will do what she wants to do and there isn't much you can do about that. Trying to change someone usually just leads to fights and frustrations.
Good for you on your choice to stay where you're living. If you like it, it's nobody else's business, including your brother, or anyone else's suggestion. You are the one that has to live in it, and so it is your decision - only. They are not the ones living in their suggestions of housing. It's your choice and your right.
Hope your cat feels better. Keep up your good work on everything!
I have often wondered about the pronunciation of your name. Thank you for sharing.
I hope you have wonderful B-day!!
