It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest.
It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.
I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside.
Then I cut up a pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed.
Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours too.
As how much is I don't want summer to be over I really don't like it when it's extremely hot.
But at least this year we have felt like we've had a summer.
My grass is dry and yellow and some the plants are dry but I'm trying to keep up with the watering. We still have the ban. It's so much easier with a hose but not as healthy lol, the amount of walking around I'm now doing to water.
This heat and yours definitely zaps your energy.
I did watch a few Brit rants lol. I've never come across a screen door on any home.
A lot of houses didn't get built with closets, so yeah wardrobes are a must here.
Some like ours does have a built in closet but it's very small, it's 27 inches wide and the depth is 21. It's barely enough for one persons clothes.
I've got a stand alone wardrobe and a chest of drawers, Doug has the built in closet and a chest of clothes.
We actually did have a pantry space in our kitchen, not a huge one, but they become unfashionable and so it was removed. I really would love it back! The fridge freezer is in that space now.
You certainly can't plug in anything in the bathroom like a hairdryer, it's not ok with our regulations on safety.
Like I've said before we have our washing machine in our kitchens.
Carly thinking of you and wandering how you and Mike are getting on, I always think about you when you don't post and wonder what's happened.
Leo just wondering if you've ended up in hospital again I'll go and check your journal.

It will be another hot day and we are going to a picnic with a few friends from out of town. We'll do our shopping afterwards.
Sandra, what I'd like to know is how each country got started on how they live. It's understandable that Great Britain homes are smaller and built differently as your country is centuries old compared to ours. However, the newer builds are still different from ours.
Carly, I'm sure you are very busy with what Mike is going through. Let us know what is happening.
Leo, at some point I hope you end this health nightmare and be on the road to mend.
I do love summer but the garden becomes so intensive in this kind of hot and oppressive weather and requires a lot of watering. My strawberries are hating the heat, but the fig tree is loving it.
PEACE
87f here and rainy all day.
Sorry not been around much. Mike is a handful.
He seems to make it on his own when I'm not around. But God forbid if I am around he is totally helpless. I am going to try my best to stop this but it is really difficult because I do want to help him but I don't think that I am really helping him.
Why do peel oranges for him and wash his grapes? Keep up with pills and BP, I am ok with those things.
I am not wanting to go to the doctor appointment tomorrow. I've been dropping hint's all day about whether or not he deeds me to go with him. But he has not picked up on it. My heart tells me I should go.
Sandra, I have to say it is sort of funny what you call hot. That is such a cool off here. But I am very happy for you if it is comfortable.
Thanks for thinking of me. I always regret when don't post. That is so interesting about the wardrobe thing. I have my grandmother's wardrobe where they hung clothes. Do you think that things will change anytime soon with the safety regulation's? There has got to be a certain regulation and getting things to code. ? Sometimes we call it "grandfathered In" meaning not having to go by the new rules.
Joanne, hope you had a nice picnic and weather was not to hot.
I am thinking of your strawberries. Wish I had some. Happy for the fig tree. I have to wonder as someone who knows nothing about growing fruit. How would it be that those two would be growing in the same area?
Wishing everyone a great rest of the week.
xoxo
