Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I have had a 16 page paper assigned for over three weeks. Naturally, the average "Type A" person, typical student, would have started this. I even had over a week of a school break to work on it and I had no plans, but did I? No. I have ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and a crazy procrastination problem. It is 7:36 right now and it is due at 8:05 tomorrow morning. I literally don't know how I am supposed to do this and I'm just getting myself so worked up I keep throwing up and my mind is in a downward spiral. I feel like an idiot. Like someone who can't do anything right and just fails over and over and over again. No one understands how hard school is for me. I have an advisor, an ed consultant, two therapists one at school one out of school, I take meds... and literally nothing helps. I do this sh*t to myself constantly and I feel awful. College is next year and I literally don't know what I am supposed to do. I hate it here and I feel helpless.

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

While what you do in high school counts...it counts less than you'd think it does. First off...very few high schools require anything close to a 16 page paper. So you're probably further ahead than you think.
Unless you're parents are rich...you'll probably end up going to a state school...and all state schools are going to care about is that you passed high school and did okay on the SAT.
Since yours is the type of school that gives 16 page papers...I suspect that you'll do more than well enough to get in.
So that's that.
As for the actual paper...yeah, it will probably not be nearly as good as you could make it....but I bet you can scrape something together.
Just start, make a pot of coffee, an outline and start writing. Who knows, written in one fell swoop, it might not come out too bad.
How’s your school work? I hope you were able to submit it on time.
I’m sorry you are going through depression and anxiety but it’s glad to hear that you are seeing a therapists. I pray that you will feel better soon.
Take care of yourself and God bless. You are in my prayers.
