Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I don't even know where to begin. I am so much mental distress. Anxiety is always there but lately it's been worse than ever before. I also believe I am severely depressed. It's affecting my mental and physical state and I am just so tired. I'm tired of the horrible fears and endless thoughts of tragedy and death from a terminal illness. My digestive system is a mess. Gnawing upper pain, bloating. Feels like I have to go constantly but I don't. Hopped into Mayo Clinic :( and stumbled upon colorectal cancer causes and symptoms. Now I feel certain symptoms and I don't know if it's due to overthinking or if I'm thinking because I felt the symptom. It's so absurd. I drive myself crazy. All I could think about are my children and family and how I can't die yet.
I started therapy yesterday. They prescribed Lexapro. Took it last night and this morning I felt like a zombie and nauseated. Immediately I associate the nausea with some type of gastro cancer. Why?! This has taken over my life and I'm sure affecting those around me. I want to be better. My mind is so ill. I had a child in December and I had a manic episode a few months after. OB felt it's post partum depression.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
Best suggestion I have is to keep writing it out as you sort through everything.
Best action to help naturally, move slowly and gently, practice even breathing. Movement eases depression and anxiety at the same time naturally to even out the balance. Stay hydrated.
Movement is incredible. I joined the gym for 2 weeks a few weeks back and worked out everything day. I felt so incredible. No maladies. No fearful thoughts; just the norm. I lost my sitter unfortunately and suddenly I find myself home all day, mostly alone with two babies under 2. I went through terrible post partum depression with the last baby who is only 9 months to add to my anxiety. It’s been so rough. You’d think the babies keep me busy enough not to have these thoughts.
Losing that gym and work would be enough to short out my own circuits, all by themselves.. Daily exercise is essential to my own anxiety management. I get crankier than a meth head who has lost her pipe when I don't exercise. Even if it's just husband beating, my muscles need their exercise. I've heard it has something to do with dopamines or some such. Ditto for keeping my mind occupied. In my case, idle minds really are the Devil's Workshop. For me, retirement was more of a career change than a retreat to the front porch.
Then we get to all the brand new stress factors of Coronaville. . . Like I wasn't crazy enough, already? I am a senior citizen who inherited 3 young orphans shortly before Corona crowned. 100% of my friends retreated to the social distances quicker than rats deserting a sinking ship. I still feel utterly abandoned.
Gentle empathy. . . I wish I had easy answers for all of us.
Healing hopes for all. No exceptions.
Coronaville was definitely the icing on the cake for me too! No contact from anyone, solitary confinement.
The 3 little ones must keep you busy. I have 2 little ones of my own.

Here's to doing the best we can with what we have to work with. It helps to know I am not alone with ^it^.
Here's why this is so important. If exercise is difficult with two little ones, figure out how to take a walk with them each and every day. Do simple moves with them with music - make laughter a part of the movement.
Build joy into the simple routine during the day.
Do Thinking. You are not alone!
Let me provide some clarification, I’m sorry if my post was confusing.
I saw a medical provider prior to the therapy sessions I am about to begin and she prescribed the Lexapro. She also recommended therapy once a week to get to “the root of my problems”.
I had a manic episode back in February. I had no insurance at the moment due to loss of employment therefore all I could do was contact my OB (I had a child back in December) and he suggested I may be suffering from post-partum depression. I was finally able to retrieve medical benefits a few weeks back.
I have also never been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Just chronic anxiety and post-partum depression.
