Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I realized today that (from 2019 to now) I went from being a person who kept every single feeling pushed down to a person who feels everything as soon as it hits me.
Especially, when it comes to anxiety and stress. I never really felt a transitional period when it comes to dealing with my emotions, so I equate everything to either stress or anxiety, and not just no reason for it to happen. There always has to be a (big) reason behind something and it drives me crazy sometimes because I want to find the answer, but sometimes there isn't one...
Like, recently I've been a little stressed obviously (I found out my mom has a cancerous lump in her breast), plus we are trying to move to a bigger place and there is an apartment above us but they have very steep stairs and it tires me out/makes me a bit dizzy (since I can walk 2-3 miles it makes me automatically think something is wrong) it makes me not want to move there even though it would make our lives so much easier.
So, I have been a bit irritable (with my girlfriend, our annoying cats). So, I thought my anxiety is out of whack, because I dealing with it just fine, but now I'm stressed. My stomach is in knots sometimes, I get gassy (lol), etc.
Instead of thinking, IT'S OK YOUR MOM IS GOING THROUGH CANCER! MOVING IS STRESSFUL! THESE CATS ARE ANNOYING LOL! It's ok to be stressed! Also, my meds' side effects include nervousness, upset stomach, etc.
Since I've been fortunate to not really feel any side effects over the past year and a half (since being placed on meds) I automatically think something's wrong.
I feel like I've come such a long way mentally and physically, that I hate when I let stress and anxiety take over, even though it's good that I'm allowing myself to feel my feelings...so confusing sometimes lol! I think I will a better handle on it, it just takes time... I wish it was an instant thing sometimes...
Sorry for writing so much lol. Peace, hugs, love, and blessings to you all!!!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
Take it from a human bulldozer. Being sensitive is not a bad thing. Nor does being insensitive protect you from getting hurt.
Stay true to you. When you love yourself as you are, you have more love to give away. The world needs all the love it can get.
I would say move. You will build up your strength and take your time with the stairs.
My meds have had the opposite effect, unfortunately. They've given me severe constipation (TMI, I know). I've had to increase my fiber intake and cut out a lot of the foods I love until I can get this under control. I'm going to the doc this week for a check-up, so here's hoping I can get some help/relief.
Best of luck to you, my friend. Cat stories always bring me a smile, so feel free to share any time.
