My high school history teacher predicted that New Jersey would go tropical and I think he was right. Today is a beautiful day. According to my weather forecast, we are in for six days of rain and storms after today. I can't bear to think of 6 rainy days in a row. I thrive on sunshine. Please dear God, throw some sunshine in there for me.

we are having a rainy stretch here on the southern great plains, also. of course rain means something entirely different here than in a coastal region, but i am reveling in the nature made excuse to lay around and listen to the rhythm of the falling rain.

It's been hot here in Philly. I will take it over winter months. We have a man-made issue. Trashmen are on strike. We have some of the best hardworking trashmen here. They are underappreciated.

arfie, down days are good sometimes! annie, a friend of mine lives in Philly too and he was telling me about the strike and how the trash was starting to smell. I'm not a fan of winter but the winters have been much milder than 50 years ago. I remember sitting in my ice cold first car, waiting for the heat to do it's magic.
