Sometimes, knowing what we want to feel gives us the clues we need to make it happen.
Change the thought pattern to work for you and hope you feel better!
Medicine is temporary and after being on and off, it may take a bit of work to find the switch working again.
200mg was working for me for ten years up until I tapered down a few months ago.
200 is the recommended max. So it has to be the right dose, or else I have to switch meds which terrifies me. I’ve done so well on sertraline before. And I had a stretch of good days a few weeks ago. It always seems to be a week after i increase my dose and then two weeks later it feels like I’m back to square 1.
I do remember it taking a really long time to work ten years ago and maybe it’s takinf longer this time as well. I’m hoping it’s either bc I’m older, increased my dose four times in one month, or bc each time you go back on a higher dose it takes longer.
I dunno. But sleep is tricky and my doc prescribed seroquel which is an anti psychotic but she said at 50mg it’ll just help for sleep and mood and act as a rescue until Zoloft starts to work.
I really don’t want to take an additional medication bc it just adds another variable into the mix and makes it harder for me to assess what is actually working.
I want to give the 200mg a fair chance of 4-6 weeks before I throw anything else away in. But I know my doc will be annoyed that i didn’t listen to her recommendation:-(
I try positive thinking all the time but I still feel a total lack of interest in what I normally love to do and don’t wake Up happy like I always have and just have a general sense of fear, especially about being alone which frustrates me bc I usually LOVE my alone time:-(
