Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hello, I hope that everyone is doing well! I haven't checked in, in a while, so I wanted to say hi and hope everyone is doing well!
Also, as a football fan (a cursed Bears fan) there were so many ups and downs that gave me a headache lol. So, on schedule, I had a mini freakout, but then calmed down, took my blood pressure, and saw it was normal lol.
My doctor says to work on getting active and stop worrying. Easier said than done, doc lol. But, I'm working on it. Also, trying to find low-cost therapy, my girlfriend and doctor think it could help break the mental blocks, that I put up myself.
Again, hope you all are doing well!! Peace, love, and hugs!

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I think therapy would be a great idea. I talk to my therapist once a week by phone and it's someone I can say anything and everything to. It helps to get an outside view on things. I hope that you can find a therapist.
taking the time to celebrate small victories like the one you had during the football panic attack helps me establish the cognitive links that go into the complex action of "not worrying."
for what it's worth
group therapy and support groups have helped me with my social anxiety far more than the pro therapy. pro therapy happens in such sterile and controlled spaces that it doesn't offer many opportunities to study/practice real time social interactions.
I focus on something that needs to be worked out-whether it is a project that I'm stuck on, or the best way to stretch the muscles and tone the core muscles in walking.
Once I got in the habit of moving through those moments and seeing the brain show me different things, it was not as much of an issue to step out and walk.
Here's to your success!
I hear so much codependency in you it’s actually painful to witness as a bystander.
I feel for you and I don’t even know you. Maybe because you’re in need of support, hence why you’re here we hope.
At least here you’ll find yourself good above all and amidst your mental struggles along with your doc.
We all need a little assertive kick in the rear-end and into the right direction in life the way you’re getting it.
In my opinion, much codependency is not so good there’s got to be a limit and an end to daily struggles.
I, unlike you and many others, love my independent free spirited mind it’s liberating and what offers me mental stability and strength at times.
But it doesn’t mean I escape from reality with my free spirited mentality. Life isn’t cheap nor free it came at a high cost and at a priceless matter.
Enough rant!! I’m starting to sound like Arfie going on my own tangent. Haha no offense to you Arfie!!
