Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I am new to experiencing anxiety. I feel anxious over the most random things, but some of these things are starting to impact my life, like driving. I never liked driving and thankfully never had to drive much because my partner prefers to drive. I still do drive, but lately it has been giving me such anxiety that I don't go out because of it. This feeling came out of nowhere, there is no reason I should feel anxious about driving.
I also feel anxious when I am alone or have to do a task by myself. I just don't understand why I am like this all of a sudden or what I should do to help. Please help, I am lost and feeling anxious just as I type this!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

The funny thing about anxiety is that it often appears out of nowhere and you just can’t put your finger on the cause. Do you have a primary care doctor that you could go see to find out some options for help? Is your partner being supportive?
I find that being with others helps, as does time spent outside. There is also a lot of support to be found here at DS.
Welcome!
Anxiety is natural, it is a part of your body and brain method to help you in times of need of 'alert'.
When it goes on 'overload', it's hard to figure out what works to release it naturally.
Stop. Pause. Breathe. Think positive.
Driving is one of those activities that involves mathematics, language, and using them together. You need to know how stay within the lines, where you are going direction wise, be able to measure distance, time, place.
When you think of all the things you do together in order to drive, it's a huge accomplishment!
