Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I have seen a doctor and mentioned this in the past .....
Stay hydrated, use gentle regular movement to keep active, and use positive methods to distract your usual thought patterns.
Best wishes.
The secret to getting rid of anxiety (I am living proof) is to take your focus off the symptoms (easier said than done) and focus more on living in the moment.
It takes practice.
If your doctor has given you a clean bill of health......you are suffering from anxiety (living in the future and experience from the past).
I went for a yearly check up the other day and was told I had a heart mur mur (I'm 57 years old). I got sent for an echo cardiogram and the result wassssss............clean bill of health.....nothing to worry about.
My massage therapist said mur murs are more common in women than men and that a good percentage of women get a mur mur after they go through menopause. My mom has a mur mur for years and doesn't take meds and is just fine.
I'm not gonna live my life like I did in the past......worried about every little thing. I live for the now becuz the future has no promise of ever coming.
My wish for you and all fellow anxiety suffers is to learn to relax. Take deep breaths daily.......as often as you can (your body NEEDS oxygen and those that suffer from anxiety breath very shallow).
Eat as healthy as possible (stay away from junk foods/fake foods.....fake foods are pre made foods and fast foods). You need healthy foods from local farmers markets (I know they can be expensive......so grow your own little garden in the summer).
Drink TONS of water. This flushes toxins out and keeps you hydrated. Soda is NOT good for you......at all!!! Carbonation blocks the body from absorbing calcium and thus your body will take it from your bones.
EXERCISE at least 5 times a week. Do something you love. I walk and so stretching. I don't go to the gym.......I do my stretches in the comfort of my own home while listening to positive binural beat music and affirmations.......or just positive talks of loving myself for 45 minutes.
I do gratitude DAILY. I literally walk around my house finding things to be thankful for.....that includes my health :)
Gratitude daily is a great booster to ridding yourself of anxiety!
Turn off the news......or any other "negative" media. Walk away from those fanning the flames of what is going on in the world. We live in a fear based society.
I know it's hard to walk away while at a function......but put on your earbuds and listen to something productive. there is tons of cool stuff on youtube.
I know that all the negative stuff on media is hard to look away.......it's like watching a train wreck that you can't look away from.....but it's not impossible.....it takes practice.
Get a hobby to take your mind off your symptoms. When you get a "symptom" take deep breaths in through your nose. Hold it for about 6 seconds and release slowly for about 6 seconds through pursed lips.
This will lower your heart rate (very safe). You might feel light headed at first as your brain is now getting the much needed oxygen and the feeling will pass. Breath this way several times or until your heart rate comes down (you are having fight or flight and the deep breathing brings you out of this).
While doing the deep breathing, distract yourself. Recognize it as anxiety. If you are having a negative thought or doing something negative....STOP.....and counter it with something positive.
Do this continuously all day.....every day until it becomes a habit (about 21 days?). Your brain needs to be retrained. It is fact that you can indeed change your thinking and behavior through repetitive action and thinking.
I wish you and others the very best.
Remember.....if your brain created it......your brain can change it.
The brain is a very powerful organ and can mimic any symptom imaginable.
Once you master taking the focus off the symptoms and place it on something positive and engaged in something else (a positive hobby or activity) your anxiety will disappear :)
I believe it is anxiety pain's and believe the doctor at the time believed this as to the problem's i was facing at the time and thing's are not much better. But the pain's can make me feel a bit unsettled and make me think i need to phone the emergency services but i don't.
I get chest/heart pains too when under stress. My doctor just did a complete blood count and it all seemed normal. The next step is checking out my heart. Anyway, I think now it is all stress related. Sometimes, even when we feel "normal" anxiety might still cause symptoms. Which then may mean we got PTSD of some sort: our minds are subconsciously triggered by something but we do not realize it. Meditate on your situation. You might be able to find the cause for "out of blue" chest pains. I already have figured out mine. Just do not know how to help myself much.
I seen my doctor y/day i had been very down over the weekend missing my son's and finding life a struggle i mentioned this and the pain's getting worse but she did not seem so concerned with this and upped my med's i have a PTSD and believe my pain's are anxiety. I am going to start exercising to make myself feel better and maybe you should try some even light exercises are great for uplifting mood and may help with your anxiety and stress. i will see how i go and if i get worse they i will demand test's. I Noticed my pain's got worse after i gave birth to my son's when at home i could not sleep some times and was on edge this has improved since then tho.
