Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I went to my doctor's office in the beginning of November with a complaint of a funny feeling in my left abdomen. The nurse practitioner ordered bloodwork and an ultrasound. She wanted to see me back in 2 weeks but I couldn't get an appointment until December 19th. I had the ultrasound done early on and never heard from my doctor's office so I assumed that it was nothing urgent. When I saw the nurse practitioner in December, she hadn't even read the results of the ultrasound. Here, I have an enlarged liver with a small cyst on it, an enlarged spleen and some gallbladder stones which are contained and not a problem. Now I have to have a CT Scan of my abdomen and pelvis on Friday. I have to drink barium and fast starting during my work hours. She wants this done before she sends me to a GI doctor. I told her that I didn't want to wait another month for the appointment. She said that we could do a virtual appointment. By the way, she described my bloodwork as "flawless" and said that my liver enzymes are fine and my kidneys are fine, thyroid and cholesterol too. To be honest, I think that a supplement that I've been taking to stop me from having so much gas is the culprit. My virtual appointment is on January 8th at 8 a.m. so I will have to be ready for work before the appointment and then we will go over the supplements that I take. I stopped taking the Silymarin. It really was helping me, especially at work. I am perturbed that I didn't find out the results of my ultrasound as soon as it was done. If you have a minute and are a praying person, please say a prayer for me. Thank you!

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

I went thru a similar struggle very recently with not getting results of an ultrasound. I finally made an account thru the imaging centers patient portal and wish I had done it sooner! I can now view all test results I’ve ever had there and will be able to view future tests done there as soon as they are read by a dr there Is this an option for you? Im so glad I did. My dr still has not called with results that did show things with my thyroid. I do have a follow up appointment with an endocrinologist on Jan 19 that I will keep
I will pray for you and I know it’s hard but try to stay positive.
I wish you well and hope that whatever is going
on is easily resolved. I agree with with others have said.
You have to be your own advocate when it comes to health care.
PCP offices can be overloaded with patients.
Good luck and I hope that all goes well for you!
