Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Have you had a flu shot before? It is made the same as the H1N1 shot so if you didn't have a reaction to a flu shot before it's pretty safe to say you will be fine. Are you allergic to egg whites? Cause use eggs to make the vaccine and it is recommended if you are severely allergic to eggs not to get the shot. Other than that I am sure you will be fine. I think they make you stay there for 15 minutes after the shot anyways to keep an eye on you for a reaction so they are RIGHT there IF anything were to happen and they can do what they need to do to make you safe.
Myself and most of my friends that got this shot though did say that their arms were very sore for a few days. Much more than the regular shot for some reason. I had this too. Take care :) You will be alright. Once it's over it's over.

Thanks so much,

I would for a public health department and we have given thousands of shots with no reactions. There are generally nurses there can answer your questions and even comfort you if you are nervous. The shot is a dead virus and much the same as the seasonal flu shot. I hope this helps to comfort you a little.
I know this is not easy for you....maybe if you go back to your doctor and explain to him/her how you are feeling about this, they could give you the facts and may be able to advise you on what is best for you.
I was nervous about getting the shot (well 2 of them) for my 18 month old son, but I did it and he is fine (however it is not the same situation as yours I know). I was too nervous though not to get the shot for him....so i opted for trusting medicine and just going with it.
I think in your case though, you really need to talk to a medical professional that you trust. While we all mean well on here, without being a doctor and knowing your medical history, it may be a bit too risky to go with what we advise.
God Bless
