I also find that having routines for every day gives me something
to rely or fallback on if I have a moment of dissaray. I find routines give me a sense of calm.
Defining what works for one person might bring on a sensation of awareness of anxiety's effect on yourself.
Stop, pause, breathe, option, repeat until calm and clear headed will help you find the pattern of action that brings anxiety to full surround awareness.
Anxiety is natural, so you can work with it naturally. Breathing is the closest way to provide natural release of anxiety.
what i do next depends on what the personal inventory reveals. if my memory is out of whack, i do memory exercises. if my thoughts are racing, i do calming exercises. etc., etc. similar wise, i apply whatever anxiety management tools are needed as my day progresses.
